NWI Scientific Projects 2011
The Fondazione ELBA Nicolini (FEN) , even mantaining the legal site Rome, has transfered to Pradalunga (Bergamo) on 15 December 2010 the administration , on May 15 and July 6 2011 the laboratories within the framework of the agreement reached on April 5 2011 with the Fondazione Piantoni (FP) owner of the building in Largo Redaelli 7. This unique combination is here structured in full sinthony by FEN and FP, as a new beginning similar to 1993 when Fondazione Elba was born by a converging initiative of governments and institutions from Italy, Europe, Russia and USA. Following what has been decided on March 13 2011at Harvard University (USA) by the BoT of FEN, we here formalizzed within the FP and FEN agreement the drastic reorganization of the NanoWorld Institute (NWI) International Scientific Committee (ISC) reflecting the changes in the FEN activities and international collaborations worlwide. Namely :
(a) the new ISC composition after the acceptances by the nominees:

Prof. Enrico Garaci PresidenT National Institute Health Membro CdA FEN & FP Agreement on Joint Experimentation Nanoproteomics at Roma at ISS-FEN |
Fernando Luzzara FKL Engineering Agreemnt on Joint Experimetation on Biodisel at Parma FKL-FEN |
Of particularrelevance are the industrial agreements with New England Biolabs in USA for Cell Free Expression Systom via NAPPA Microarrays and with FKL Engineering at Parma for the biodisel, and the scientific negotiations under way with both the Laboratoris of Nanobiotechnology and Biophysics of the University of Genova for the continuation of research going on successfully since 2001, and with Nationl Institute of Health in Rome in the areas of Structural Proteomics e Functional Proteomics, namely with Presidente Enrico Garaci on September 5 2011 extended on October 7 to varios dipartiments in Roma at Viale Regina Elena.
The unanimous decisions taken by the BoT of both FEN and FP on September 5 2011 in Roma provide in the long range both the needed economic frame for the realization of the Nanoworld Institute project and the added value to the inherited large building in Largo Redaelli 7.
The final strutture of the Project, aiming to the development of Nanotechnologies e Nanosciences with headquarter in Pradalunga (Bergamo) at Largo Redaelli 7, is:
